instant memories is more than just a web site, we strive to
offer the best managed service from uploading your photos
to printing and delivery to the customer. We provide a personal
service, working with you to help achieve the best results
from our system.
Can my customers order over the phone as well as online?
Yes, your customers can order by phone Monday to Friday, during
office hours. We will also handle any customer queries at
no additional charge. We understand that sometimes you will
be out working, so we are here to help support your customers
when you are busy.
How do I send you my images?
For each
event you will receive a CD or DVD to send your images on.
This is free 1st class postage paid return and all images
are uploaded within 24 hours of receipt, 7 days a week.
We can also supply personlised Find Your Photo cards to hand
out at your event if required.
Is the site secure?
Yes, the sign is industry approved by Verisign. All photos
are watermarked, saved on the site in low resolution and are
encoded for additional security on our server.
How many photos can I supply per event?
We will upload up to 1000 photos per event. If you have more
photos this will count as an additional upload.
Can't I build my own e-commerce web site?
Building and running an effective e-commerce web site does
require specialist knowledge. As well as the design of the
site you will need to budget for additional monthly costs
for a merchant account, transaction fees and web space. By
using instant memories you will not have any of the hassle
or cost of managing your own server, letting you concentrate
on photography.
I have my own web site and want to promote this at events,
can I do this?
If you have your own web site we recommend personalised 'Find
Your Photo' cards, these can be designed and printed from
£10.00 per event. We also supply a login box which can
be cut and pasted onto your web site. This will allow customers
to access their photos directly, without leaving your site.
This way you can increase traffic through your site and promote
your business to potential customers.
How long are photos displayed on my web site?
All codes will be left live for 12 months. If you would like
to keep codes active beyond that time it is £3.50 a
month per code.
Can I see how many people have visited by online albums?
Yes, you will have access to your own online members area
where you can view hits to each of your codes. You can also
request new events online through this area.
I'm happy with my present lab, can I manage my own printing?
Yes, we can pass any orders directly to yourself to manage.
Alternatively we may be able to set up an FTP service with
your lab so we can manage orders on your behalf (subject to
agreement with the lab). If you manage your own printing you
will also receive the £2.50 postage and packing per
online order.
What format do I send my files over in?
If we are managing your printing we ask for all files to be
sent in high-resolution format as JPEG files. If you are managing
your own printing photos need to be no smaller than 6 x 4
inch in size and no lower than 72dpi. Photos are uploaded
in the order that you save them in and also need to be saved
in the correct horizontal or vertical positions. We will then
resize them and upload the photos to your web site with 24
hours of receipt.
Can you do some work on the files which I send you?
instant memories can undertake any additional Photoshop work
on your files for £15 per hour.
